Peaches are the best. Do I need to say anything else? Okay I probably do. I love peaches in every fashion, but the way I’ve been enjoying them the most lately is in a smoothie bowl. I eat a smoothie bowl almost everyday and because peaches are in season I’ve been throwing them into and on top of my smoothie. Basically, this whole recipe is peach related, but honestly what could be better than that? I think I would be happy eating this every morning.
Ingredients:
- 2 frozen bananas
- 1 1/2 cup frozen peaches
- 1/2 – 2/3 cup peach juice
- granola to top
- fresh peach to top
First, blend together the frozen banana, frozen peaches, and peach juice until smooth. The less juice you put the thicker the smoothie will be, but if your blender is struggling just add another dash of juice. Next, scoop mixture out of the blender and place it in a bowl. Top with granola and sliced fresh peach. It is seriously that simple. Enjoy!
Tips: If you aren’t a fan of smoothie bowls and would prefer to drink your smoothie just use fresh bananas. If you don’t have a Trader Joe’s near you I think any peach nectar would work perfectly. Alternatively, any juice would taste great, but it will take away from the peach flavor if it isn’t peach juice. For toppings I’m a huge fan of Engine 2 Blueberry Vanilla Granola, but any granola would taste good. You can even make your own granola really easily. Sometimes I add protein powder to this smoothie and I don’t find it alters the taste that much so add any unflavored or vanilla protein powder if you’d like.
